Scrutiny committees
Scrutiny committees monitor the work of Shropshire Council and investigate specific issues to make recommendations on the way that services are provided.
Shropshire Council's five scrutiny committees are:
- Enterprise and Growth Scrutiny Committee
- Healthy Communities Scrutiny Committee
- Performance and Strategy Scrutiny Committee
- Protecting and Enhancing our Environment Scrutiny Committee
- Safe and Confident Communities Scrutiny Committee
The key roles of the committees include:
- holding the cabinet to account for the decisions that it makes
- scrutinising the quality and performance of services
- reviewing council policy.
